This is some exclusive scene footage from the apartment complex where the shooting took place earlier. It was taken by a resident at around 8:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday night, before they were allowing...more press on the property. The authorities had a strong presence on the property and this video shows an officer getting into one of the command vehicles. Admittedly, it’s not that exciting video, but it is exclusive and this is what the night looked for the residents.

Just after a memorial service for slain Seattle police Officer Tim Brenton concluded Friday afternoon, detectives shot and arrested a suspect in the killing. Officials said a tip from a citizen involving a car parked outside the apartment led them to the location.

Officer Timothy Brenton was remembered as a hero and a teacher at a funeral attended by thousands Friday. "Timothy is a home-grown hero," said Mayor Greg Nickesl, and Gov. Gregoire said Brenton demonstrated that "putting on the uniform is an act of courage every day."

Just after a memorial service for slain Seattle police Officer Tim Brenton concluded Friday afternoon, officers shot and arrested a man described as a person of interest in his killing. Tukwila...more police spokesman Mike Murphy said investigators were following up leads on the murder at an apartment complex when the man flashed a handgun and was shot by three Seattle detectives. "Seattle PD detectives were out here, following up on a person of interest in the Officer Brenton homicide, and this person of interest ran, and was shot as he ran from the scene," Murphy said. "They had to fire to protect themselves."

King County Executive Kurt Triplett and county transportation officials have announced a series of improvements designed to keep bus riders and road users better informed when winter storms...more strike.
Triplett says all snow bus routes have been revised and that storm buses will only operate on roughly 70 predetermined routes.
Metro is also preparing a new color-coded bus congestion online map to help riders predict bus service.
Bus riders are encouraged to sign up online for new Metro Transit Alerts to recieve emails and text messages when bus service is disrupted.
The King County roads department has purchased twice as much salt/deicer this winter and is testing new traction tires for buses. They'll also have 5 more snow plows on roads this year if needed.
The county hopes to be able to track buses in real time in the future with GPS systems, but Triplett says that will not likely be available until 2011.

Susan Hansen, a representative from Harborview Medical Center says the man shot in Tukwila earlier today is in critical condition and in surgery at this time.

The man shot by police this afternoon at a Tukwila apartment comples is now at Harborview in critical condition.
Interim Seattle Police Chief John Diaz has identified him as a 41-year old man who was shot in the head.
