This is video of Jim Albaugh speaking to workers at the future 787 line in SC. KOMO was the only station to talk with him one on one just before he was wisked away. We asked him why Boeing is...more creating a new 787 line in SC and if any other line would be created or moved to South Carolina. We will post the full interview soon, but his response to the last question sounded like the door was open to all ideas.

A movie about undocumented children and their struggles after they turn 18 will be shown at Kane Hall tonight, with a discussion on it afterward. The movie is "Papers", and it is about kids who are...more born outside the country, are brought here, have a normal childhood, with normal schooling, normal friends and living normal, American lives, but at the moment they turn 18, become illegal immigrants in the eyes of government.  It discusses the issues they have in trying to become citizens of the only country they've ever known and the obstacles they face in just trying to live their adult lives. There will also be a discussion after the movie with Pramila Jayapal, executive director of movie sponsor OneAmerica, and some of the people in the movie, including Jorge-Alonso Chehade, who is a UW business school grad but just received a 45-day stay from being deported. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. and costs $10 ($5 for students).  You can buy at the door or online through Brown Paper Tickets.

On Wednesday morning Sam Osborne, the executive director of the Rainier Valley Food Bank, arrived at the center only to discover that potatoes, onions and canned goods--enough to feed 1500...more people--had been stolen. And while the crime was tragic, especially so close to Thanksgiving, the food bank now has even more food than before, thanks to generous donations from all over the community. Neighbors, local businesses and even other organizations, have all donated in response to the theft. PCC dropped off $1000 worth of groceries and the Union Gospel Mission is making a delivery to Rainier Valley now. (The video above, by KOMO Newsradio's Travis Mayfield, shows Union Gospel's President Herb Pfiffner talking about the cintribution)  "The outpouring of community support has been amazing," Osborne said. "All I can say is 'wow!'" If you would like to help the Rainier Valley Food Bank Osborne says they always need financial contributions, which can be made at their Web site.
