A 10-year-old girl was critically injured when she was struck by a car while riding her bike Wednesday afternoon.The accident happened around 4:35 p.m. in the 7900 block of 80th Ave. NE, said officials with the Marysville Fire Department.The girl was to be airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in...more Seattle where she was being treated for severe head injuries and was listed in critical condition. Marysville police Commander Robb Lamoureaux said the car was southbound on 80th when the girl rode between two parked vehicles and out in front of the oncoming car. The girl was not wearing a helmet."At this time we have no reason to believe that driving conditions, speed, or drugs or alcohol played any role in this accident," Lamoureaux said in a statement. "It, sadly, appears to be that the young girl rode her bike straight into traffic and the driver had no time to react." Investigators blocked the road for several hours while they collected evidence at the scene.

Marysville Police Investigators believe a wanted murder suspect robbed a Pharmacy on Tuesday evening. James Douglas Fryberg, 21, is suspected in the death of a 15-month-old baby in May 2009. He has been charged with second-degree murder. Fryberg failed to appear at his court hearing on Tuesday, and...more now police believe the Tulalip man robbed the Marysville Haggen Pharmacy on the same day. At around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man matching the description of Fryberg walked into the Pharmacy at 3711 88th St. NE, implied that he had a gun and demanded prescription narcotics from the clerk. Investigators say witnesses identified Fryberg as the robber through photo line-ups. Marysville Police say Fryberg should be considered armed and dangerous. The Everett School District wants to know who's behind the vandalism that killed thousands of fish. Someone broke into Mill Creek's Lively Environmental Center on Tuesday and dumped anywhere between 15,000 to 19,000 Coho fingerling salmon onto the ground outside. Lively is a learning center for the...more Everett School District. The fish were used to teach kids about the environment. The state has agreed to provide new salmon for the center.

Edmonds Community College President Jack Oharah announced his retirement on Wednesday. Oharah took the post in 1996. During his time in Edmonds, the college has grown from 11,000 to 20,000 students and added five buildings. Oharah has built his dream home in Kansas, where he plans to retire with...more his wife. Were you caught in the big I-5 mess Tuesday evening? A car fire on northbound I-5 at 164th Street SW caused a 6-mile back-up just before 6:00 p.m. This photo was taken from the Department of Transportation traffic camera. The fire was blocking the two left lanes of the freeway before crews moved it to the shoulder. No word on any injuries.

The search is on for a murder suspect who failed to appear at his court hearing on Tuesday. James D. Fryberg is suspected in the death of a 15-month-old baby in May 2009. The 21-year-old Tulalip man has been charged with second-degree murder. Fryberg's last address was on the Tulalip Reservation...more west of Marysville; however, his current whereabouts are not known. He is said to stand about 5-foot-11 and weigh approximately 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and hair. Anyone with information on Fryberg's whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
